Today we had one of the best field trips. The field trip that we took was to the Vatican. Besides having to get up and be on the train by 7:30 in the morning the hour long commute was well worth the experience. It was crazy to think that we would get to see the most famous paintings of some of the greatest artists of all time. As we walked through the Vatican it was all really beautiful. We stopped and stared at everything for what seemed like forever. Because Italy is more touristic during the summer months, of course the Vatican would be crowded but I never thought that it would be as bad as it was. If almost felt that at times we were all being hearded like cattle through certain parts of the museum. But overall it was well worth it. We walked through everything with out tour guide and then we finally made it to the Sistine Chapell. It was BEAUTIFUL. It was really funny to because they had warned us that we wouldn't be allowed to take pictures once we were inside but they werent able to control the crowd due to the mass of people so I stole a few photos because I hadn't traveled all the way there and to leave empty handed with no memories of being in the Sistine Chapel. We then had the rest of the day to relax and shop in Rome. Overall it was a great day and I can't wait to go back with my parents in a few days.
