Monday May 16th: Today marks the second week of our study abroad program in Italy. Most of us are still waking up and saying "is this real life, are we really here in Italy?" To start off the second week of this program, we began with a local visit to the fresh market with Cinzia. Once we got what we wanted at the market we then were introduced to the field trips that we would partake in during this week. Once that brief meeting was over we went to meet with Prof. Francesco Petruicci for our second visit into the baroque art work part of the chigi palace. The paintings he showed us were outstandingly beautiful. After we left the baroque paintings we then had to go sit in class; this was our first history lesson with Marco. I'm usually not a history lover but Marco made the boring stuff really interesting and it was a lot easier to stay awake listening to him than I would normally be in an AU classroom for history. After we finished with our history lesson for the day, we were able to have a 3 hour break for lunch and then it was time to watch the worst movie ever (even the teachers didn't want to watch it) we all sat down to watch a movie on Roman Engineering… the information was actually interesting to hear about but the way that they brought it across was awful, half of the group fell asleep within the first few minutes of the movie starting.
