Today was the start of week 5, we had to pack our bags for the entire week because we are going to be gone all week long touring all over Tuscany. . It was nice to get to go back to sleep after being up for half the night before struggling with what we would all pack for the week and what we would leave behind. We always try to pack light but we always end up packing more than we should. We started off today by hoping on our private bus at 6:30 am, we then set in for our 4 hour bus ride to Monte chino. We visited the areas around those smaller towns and did a little shopping until it was time to hit the road for Siena. We went on a few tours and the best one for the morning was when we got to go visit one of the wineries that is connected in some way to the Auburn Hotel and Conference Center… the place we visited usually doesn't allow tours of the property but since we were so special we got something that no one else ever gets. We arrived in Siena early in the afternoon and got off the bus hoping that we wouldn't have to walk very far with our luggage but boy were we wrong. We set off for what seemed like a hike through the town of Siena with all of our stuffed bags in tow. We were all really glad when we arrived at our "hole in the wall" hotel. We then had the rest of the afternoon to hang out and explore before we to our group went to the wine tasting. The wine tasting was the best part to the day… the wines we had were spectacular and then the private guided tour was amazing. Two wine tastings in 1 day--- yay for wine and great cheese! After our second wine event for the day, we were free t o walk around the town of Siena and do what we wanted until our curfew… the small group I hung out with ended up finding the center of Siena, the place just so happened to be my Expert of the day for the following day.. it was funny because everyone just sits and looks out towards the town hall building. We all had a light dinner which consisted of gelato and cokes… that was the best dinner so far…cheap and so tasty. Surprisingly enough we were all exhausted and went to bed quite early.
