To start off the official weekend, Ashley and I took the time to walk up the hill to the supermarket to buy groceries for the week so we could attempt to save money for the other weekend trips and of course for shopping. We started the trek and realized that were going to have to walk slowly and take a few breaks along the way because our bodies were so tired and our feet were killing us from the previous 2 days of extreme walking through Rome. We finally made it to the grocery store and took forever finding what exactly we wanted to buy. Once we got to the check out we realized we had a problem - we didn't know how on earth we were going to get all of our groceries back to the palace. We finally made it back and unpacked and then we were on our way to Rome. We headed back into Rome to finish our scavenger hunt that is due Monday, and then were rewarded ourselves with shopping. We decided that we really wanted to go out so we had planned on hitting up the H&M store in Rome, we ran all the way there and yet we arrived and they had just told us that they had closed for the night, we all couldn't believe that it was just 8 pm and everything was closing for the night. So since we weren't able to buy new clothes we ran to the metro to take the train back to Albano so that we could quickly change clothes before going to a VIP party in Rome. Since most things don't get started till after midnight, we have come accustom to going out after midnight and staying out till way later than we would normally in Auburn. We got ready and went out for another night in Rome; we were given the opportunity to go to a VIP party which happened to be at the same hotel in which Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie were filming the movie "The Tourist". It was absolutely beautiful. It's strange to think that everywhere we go we have the connections to get into the best parties in Rome. We all had the best time partying and dancing till the sun came up; we then went to the Treve Fountain at night time - omg that's the most romantic place in the world at night. It was weird to be getting home at light so we crashed hard and then woke up and went to the lake for the entire day, it was so relaxing to be able to lay by the water and tan for a little bit while enjoying the scenery in Italy. We all couldn't get in to mood to do any schoolwork, thank God that we all have 3 day weekends all the time. Well now it's time to sit down and do some schoolwork before the crazy week of field trips and classes begin.
