After a lazy morning we walked to the Sharon Gorge which turned out to be the Burnett River (flooding issues).
Visited the Mystery Craters in South Kolan (pictured).
There are 45 craters in total discovered in 1971. Over the years numerous geologists and scientists have tried to find the cause of these craters but have all firmly concluded that they are not man made.
Some of the craters are estimated at 16meters deep and at least four are identical in shape (foot print shape). Only a few hold water and those that do all vary in water color due to the different minerals in the rock.
None of the craters link to each other....
After a picnic at the Driver Reviver site in Gin Gin (started talking with Heather who is letting us leave our van at her farm for a week when we drive down to the Goldcoast) we found a truck stop and had our first shower in three days!
Later we meet a couple from Sunshine who has her daughter in Bendigo. They are one month into a six month trip and have covered alot of ground already!).
Highlight today: chatting with the ladies at the driver Driver Reviver stop and Heathers generous offer!
