OMG had such a scary night....Started with a huge bang on the caravan followed by another 10minutes later (possibly the bike falling but still not convinced).
Then at 3am Mel woke me up saying she heard a growl like a panther and thinking she in Africa. I heard it shortly afterwards and was suitably freaking out for the rest of the night.
No big cat prints outside the van this morning though.....
On my insistence (way to scary and quiet here) we moved camp and went into Maryborough.
Maryborough's claim to fame is that the author P.L Travers (who wrote Mary Poppins) was born here 1899.
As tribute a Mary Poppins statue was erected outside the 'heritage listed' building of her birthplace. With other tribute paraphernalia around the township.
Next week they are also attempting to break the record for the "Worlds biggest pub crawl".
Was recognized by a local, turns out that I used to work with him at Caltex over 10years ago! What an amazing coincident that we happened to walk into his cafe for lunch today...Bizarre!
Camping in a sports reserve so we played some basketball in an old outdoor court then cooked up Pork, Ginger and Garlic burgers. Yum!
Highlight today: Basketball and running into someone I knew.
