Packed up all Cams gear and dropped him at the airport to return home back to Melbourne. Traveling back into town was lovely and quite... Topped up supplies and headed back to the van to read trashy magazines and chill out for the rest of the day. Highlight today: peace and quiet!

Went out to an oval and threw Cams Boomerang around for a while. It took a while to get used to (Mels first Boomerang throwing sesh). In the evening we went to the Alice Springs Desert Park for a 'Nocturnal' tour. Passed through several 'Jurrasic Park' like fences into the desert park and were given head torches and led into the bushland. Started the morning off with a swim in the pool. Very fresh! Drove out to Simpsons gap about 16km from Alice. Huge, red rock cliffs with a small stream passing through. Decided to climb up the steep slopes, cam got stuck half way so we scratched that idea. In the afternoon we went for a bike ride whilst Cam hired a pedal Go kart. Highlight today: morning swim
Jumped on the tour bus (Emu Run) at 6.15am and headed off to Uluru. After a 4-5hour drive our first stop was the Olgas where we went for a walk through the high red rock face. A quick visit to the Aboriginal cultural center then out to the base of Uluru. Walked around some of the base and observed the bushland, wind swept rocks and got up close to the huge monolith. Went into town and had lunch at the Anzac hill lookout, then into town to a Didgeridoo workshop. The Didgeridoo workshop was funny as it sounded like big farts until we finally got the hang of it! Cam cooked dinner in the evening (spaghetti and mince concoction). Highlight today: watching Cam cook dinner!
