Sooo picking up where I left off, later that week (10th November) my new baby cousin Poppy was born!! It was amazingly exciting for me, since I love all my cousins so much, so I would have another small cild to dote on. I spent that day going on and on to anyone in my class who would listen about her, and I would have done the same for the whole of the friday but I got a terrible headache and had to stay home from school. It was a shame, there was an event in school that day to celebrate a national day of something or other, where we got to wear non-uniform and do cool stuff instead of classes, so I did try to go to school but on the way there my head just got 10x worse and I ended up in bed most of the day trying to sleep and not doing a wonderful job of it.
After a few days rest, however, I felt a hell of a lot better, I think I just needed to be away from the heat and noise for a bit because although this country has this amazing energy, that also means everything is a lot louder than it is in England and it can get a bit much sometimes. That Sunday, I saw Maja so we could do stuff that she hadn't done before, number 1 on that list being go to a donut shop and eating a Krispy Kreme donut, sooo we went out for lunch and coffee and donuts, then went back home and I introduced her to Glee. I am turning out to be a wonderful influence on people here, introducing Maja to Glee and I have introduced my sister to Glee, Criminal Minds, Misfits AND The Walking Dead! This country is so lucky to have me.
The next week in school we started making christmas decorations, little ribbon flowers to put up all over the school, and that really got me into the christmas spirit and so I went and downloaded a host of christmas songs for my phone, and that alongside the school being covered in red and green ribbons-flowers, a christmas tree by the reception and the christmas decorations at home really made me nostalgic for christmas in England. I know that this year is going to be very different, and it will definitely be strange without my family, but I am still as excited for christmas as I always am.
That friday, the 19th, I was inducted into something very important to this country; Baseball. Baseball is very popular over here, and so when one of my friends sent me a message asking if I'd like to go see a game with some others, I thought I might as well educate myself a bit about the sport so I went along. It was actually a really interesting game, I had a lot of fun, and the team I was supporting, Las Aguilas, won! I came home with my Aguilas cap and my sister was NOT happy. You see, my family supports a different team to me, and here that is like some sort of crime, so when my sister saw me with the cap she told me "Get out, NO-ONE in this house supports Las Aguilas!!", I felt like such a rebel.
Well, that's where I'm going to leave you this time, I have a film to go see now, sooo I'll catch you up again soon!
