Hello again! So I know it's been a couple of days since I've posted, and a couple of weeks since the last weekend I filled you in on, but to be honest there hasn't been too much to say, I've just spent the last couple of weeks happily bouncing through school and settling into the whole routine, which I am glad to say I think I've done pretty well!
There are a couple of things I've come to love about school here, for example, although school starts earlier than in England, I wake up 10 minutes later than I do at home and finish school 2 hours earlier, which I gotta say I think is a pretty good deal! There's also no bullying here, which I think is great. I'm not sure what it is, but people are just generally more accepting of others here than they are in England in that in school there are no cliques, no certain groups of friends who like or dislike another certain group of friends (and believe me there was more than enough of that in England) and at first I thought it was just because I am at a private school where there's less people, but after talking to the students I was told that it's like this at the public schools too where there are a lot more people. I'm not sure what it is about here that's different, but I'm certainly not complaining!
Another thing I've come to love, not necessarily about school but sometimes related, is the weather here. I walk home from school, and although it's not all that far away it is the very middle of the day when the sun is highest in the sky and hell-bent on making me suffer, and there's two hills to go down then up to get home, so safe to say I'm exhausted. That's hardly what I love about the weather, as you've probably guessed, what I love is its unpredictability! It can be boiling hot in the classroom then all of a sudden it's raining like England on one of its worst days, and being a huuuge lover of rain I can hardly complain at that! I've spent one day this last week skipping home through the aftermath of a big old rainstorm that went on throughout last lesson, and another day skipping home through a spell of rain just enjoying being alive, and to be honest that's all I can really ask for right now! It's weird how the mere occurrence of rain can put me in such an elated mood, but there's pathetic fallacy for you!
I reeeally don't have much else to say right now as, like I said earlier, not much has been going on other than school! Safe to say if anything does happen you guys will be the first to know! The picture for today's post is of a teeny tiny frog we found in my cupboard, as soon as I got close to catching him, he hopped right back in there, making itself at home. We decided to let him room with us, and I saw him the next day coming out from under the bed and just hopping around, he was a cute little guy, haven't seen him for a while though. Jenny decided to name him Darren, after my deep love of Darren Criss. I was not impressed with this.
Till the next time! - Jazzy x
