Today is our last day in Surfers, with slight hangovers from the night before we had a little lay in before walking down to the park and having a swim in the lagoon on the water way.
That evening we had planned to hit the wax museum, where we were greeted by two older guys who seemed relatively surprised we had come by, the first section was our chance to check out the famous people section. I'm pretty sure this is the only place in the world where you will find Josef Stalin and Rolf Harris displayed in the same cabinet! We had a good wonder around and saw a wax work of Madame Tussard herself which we later learnt was actually one of only 3 in the world that was made by Madame Tussard, a kind of self portrait.
The next part of the museum was the chamber of horrors which was a guided tour, for this section we were joined by an Australian couple. This was basically displayed and talks on medieval punishments, mainly things that happened in England "you were a savage lot, eh?" the guide commented. The Australian lady on the same tour as us felt dizzy and faint and had to leave suddenly as we turned the next corner I couldn't help but think a Good job she left when she did, the disembowelment display probably would have finished her off.
Over and out
