In our last couple of days in Melbourne we spent the day down at St kilda beach and met up with some of our friends from the kiwi bus, Rich and Ashley. Today we went to the Australian grand prix in Albert park.....beautiful weather and got to see Jenson button win! We were stood at turn ten and actually had quite good views although to be honest they go pretty quick so you only get a glimpse each time but it was really exciting! We had bought a race and rock package for the grand prix this weekend which meant we could go to the f1 rocks concert after the race....however, on closer inspection the race finished at 7 and concert started at 6! Ollie called the ticket company and politely complained and sorted us tickets for Saturdays concert instead! Funpacked day today! The lady who's house we were painting returned and was happy with what we had done so that was good. We went into the city and met Ollies cousin Beth for a few drinks then all went to watch the football (or soccer as they call it here) It was Melbourne victory vs wellington phoenix and was the lat home game of the season for Melbourne, it was really fun and Melbourne won 3-0 so that wasn't bad either! So ventured into the city today, first stop the visitors centre where we collect about 50 leaflets and maps then headed to a cafe to comb through them, we ventured up one of the main shopping streets and lots of formula one merchandise on sale in preparation for this weekends grand prix.
