Crikey! What an awesome day. We caught the train from Brisbane to beerwah to visit the Australia zoo, home of the crocodile hunter, the late Steve irwin.

It's a great place, not like other zoos I have ever been to, the animals have huge enclosures and the zoo, which was started by Steve's parents in the 70s and was original 4 acres is now over 100 acres and still growing!

Highlights of the day were feeding an elephant, hanging out in the roo enclosure (see pic) And the bengal tiger show where one of the keepers was in the enclosure with the tiger playing with him as though he was a kitten!

Amazing place. Great day.
