Today we left the gold coast and headed to Brisbane.

The coach journey was a relatively short one, and a DVD was being shown which pleased me, a gripping story starring Denzil washington who has a son who needs a heart transplant and he takes hostages in a hospital to get treatment for his son, towards the end of the feature the DVD started skipping and was eventually turned off by the driver at the height of drama, so frustrating! Anyway if anyone reading this knows what film I am talking about could they please email me the ending!

On our transfer to the hostel the driver was discussing with some returning guests am incident where some tourists were beaten up in the park. So no going there in the dark then!

We arrived late afternoon so decided to get our bearings and walk into the city rather than take the bus, seeing as weather was good too, after I had unsuccessfully map read us across the river we had seen a full circle around our hostel and eventually stumbled into the city centre!

Brisbane is much smaller and alot less busy than Sydney but had pedestrianised malls and squares in the city centre which makes walking around aimlessly alot easier!

Did the usual visit to tourist information and transport office to plan our time here before heading back.
