Four months down and five to go!!! time flys when you're working your butt off!

WEEK 16- Charmaine finally made it and jumped right back into the swing of things, she's a sweet lady. I received my new lens in the mail can't wait to shoot with it! Katia came into the spa saturday morning while we were cleaning and gave me a hug goodbye, she teared up a little but she'll be back sooner than she knows it. I'll greatly miss her when I'm the one leaving. and to think of it... I will only have two more months here when she gets back! crazy.

Sunday I worked 8am-8pm and then hit the gym with Lauren and Amber.

Monday wasn't too busy, it was my first day working with Charmaine since she had sunday off, and I was actually a little nervous but it turned out fine. I woke up early that day to go grocery shopping with Gina before work and we saw a double rainbow! My first rainbow in Maui:D

Tuesday was incredibly slow, slowest I've ever seen. I did Lauren's hair and she painted my nails for valentines day.

Wednesday was slow as well, while I was doing my guest's hair we looked out the window and there were whales swimming about so if you come to the salon you can get your hair done annnd whale watch! My boss gave me a little longer lunch, after I ate lunch I got off the ship to go play with my new lens in Kona for about an hour. I really wanted to walk over to this little light house on the island but I couldn't figure out how to get there and I was running out of time.

Thursday!! I finally had an entire day off! It was Lauren's 25th Birthday! Lauren and Amber and myself got up early to go to the yoga class that Chris, our Steiner fitness trainer, instructs but he didn't have any passengers sign up so he cancelled the class. We went back to our cabins to get ready to have breakfast at the Marriott in Kauai. We all ordered the buffet and it was delicious! After breakfast Silvia, Amber, Lauren, Alana and I headed to the beach we had been planning on renting a condo from the Marriott Lagoons and finally got a room after reserving a room we went paddle boarding<3 I was so excited to finally get in the water and play with my GoPro. While the five of us were out on our boards Alana completely fell in the water, it was her first time paddle boarding and we didn't know she couldn't swim! After she was done splashing around and finally climbed on to Amber's board I was having a difficult time not trying to laugh, and contemplated filming it with my GoPro haha when she was done and I was sitting on my board watching, trying not to laugh and a wave comes and knocks me off my board lol I guess thats what I get for laughing.

An hour passes and we return our boards, lay out to dry off and catch some rays... I burned a little but at least I finally got some color. After we dried off we went back to the ship to get our stuff to stay over night at the condo. Ironically we ended up with the same exact condo we had for our christmas pajama party. Once we got there we went swimming in the pool and sat in the hot tub. Kelsey and Chris were already at the condo and Kelsey baked some cookies, bacon wrapped dates, and a Funfetti birthday cake! Lauren ordered pizza and Later Aaron and Brendan, from excursions, arrived so we all hopped back in the pool. (It's Brendan's Aloha week as well) The pool had a Rock water slide so we had fun with that and climbed the little waterfall which Lauren said she felt like she was in the movie the Goonies. "Goonies never say die!" haha. We went back in and sang happy birthday to Lauren and had some cake and she was really excited to have birthday candles, she said it was the first time she's had candles for her birthday since she started working on ships and she's been doing it for about 5 years now. The rest of the night we played some games and then went to sleep, I ended up with a Queen size bed to myself because some of the girls headed back to the ship so that was glorious. It was nice to feel a little normal again.

Friday we woke up and sat out on the patio for a little welcoming the morning and then Lauren and myself went back to the ship to get ready for work. Again, Friday is not my favorite but on my lunch break I went to my cabin and started watching Benjamin Button and then on my dinner break it was back on again right where I left off but I didn't get to finish it because we had to go back to the spa for a meeting. Which reminds me... a couple weeks ago Amber and I were browsing channels and watched the end of Airplane, that movie is old but incredibly hilarious I really wish I was able to see the whole thing, it's so random I couldn't stop laughing.

I haven't received my book in the mail from my buddy yet… I wonder if it will come today.

Well this week is Valentines week I'm hoping it will be a little busier in the salon than it has been. They have a few things planned for the ship so it should be fun. I don't need a valentine, some flowers will do just fine:P come to think of it, I have Valentine's day off and I'm planning on having some Strawberry Hula Pie from Dukes! mmmm.
