The week flew by! Which means it's just that much closer to my parents coming aboard!! I didn't take many notes throughout the week for my blogging so I'll try to remember as much as I can.
WEEK 35- Sunday I had the whole day off. I got up early to do my laundry and did some grocery shopping, then I facetimed with my parents for fathers day until I heard back from Michelle. We were suppose to spend the day in Paia because she hadn't been around there before but when she came into the cabin she was upset. She just got news that her mom had fallen off a ladder and shattered her hip. Michelle was crying because she didn't know how bad it was and it was very difficult for her to not physically be there. Trevor had been waiting for me to hear back from Michelle so I met up with him once I found out she wasn't going to come anymore. Trevor and I walked over to Queens mall to catch the bus to Paia. It was his first time exploring over there so I showed him around the little town. We met up with Amber and Katia for margaritas and chips and salsa and this really good mexican restaurant. Trevor and I ordered guava margaritas and they were amazing, instead of salt we ordered this candied powder around the rim of the glass, I don't remember what they called it but it was delicious. Amber and Katia left to do some shopping and then came back realizing that Amber lost her phone (which is typical, Amber looses everything.) Trevor and I went to walk around the shops a bit and we ended up buying friendship anklets it was 3 for $10 so we got one for Michelle as well. I brought my camera along, since when Alex and I had our Paia adventure we didn't bother to bring ours when we wish we had. Trevor wanted some new headshots for auditions so I took a few of them at different locations in Paia, I didn't like any of them but he thought they were great, we're going to try to do a studio shoot if I ever have time. We went to flatbread to put our names in for a table since it was going to be a long wait then we walked over to the beach to take a few more pictures. Once we got back to Flatbread they called our table and right at that time Katia and Amber showed up. So it was Trevor's first time at Flatbread and he loved it, of course… who doesn't love flatbread? We caught the 8pm bus back and once I got back to the ship I knocked out.
Monday I worked all day. Michelle flew home for the rest of the week so she could be with her mom when she was going through surgery and all. She was sad because now we have even less time together before I leave. I've been texting her everyday to see how her mom and her are doing.
Tuesday we did a ME bath party for the kids on board. Its just a fun little ice cream pedicure party we do for the summer since we have more kids on the ship. This week the ME bath was a hit, Charmaine and I had nine girls so we set up the party in the relax room, we only had about an hour and a half to do all nine girls and paint their fingers and toes. It's a ton of work but so much fun, I love doing kids nails. The last little girl I did was named Addy, she was adorable! She reminded me of the little girls the come on the Ellen show, if you know who I'm talking about. She is a character, so much personality from one little girl. I asked her how old she was and she said 6 and I said "6?! you're so tiny!!" then I kind of caught myself and realized that I probably shouldn't have been so surprised about that. Then she said "it's okay, I don't get mad anymore, I don't get mad at my classmates either when they say I'm small." haha the things that she said just cracked me up. So she told me she wanted volcanoes painted on her toes and flowers on her hands. So I painted little volcanoes and she loved them. Payton, Charlotte and Mikayla we're three sisters that came in for the party and they were adorable as well, and they all had the prettiest blue eyes, I met their mom the next evening when I did her pedicure.
Wednesday I woke up early and went to have breakfast at Lava Java, it's always the best to get off early to get some fresh air even if its just for a couple hours before work… there's just something about being in Paradise. I've really been trying to force myself to get off the ship when I can, its just so refreshing. I ordered a veggie omelette because it had a few of my favorite things like avocado, pesto and goatcheese. When my server brought it out to me on the patio a little bird flew up landed on the plate and took a piece and flew away. I laughed and the server told me that was like the third time that happened that morning, she went and made me a new one. The birds here don't care.
We did another ME bath party for the kids, these kids were a lot more quite but they enjoyed it.
Michelle's Mom went into surgery that day and she said it went very well, she's just not feeling well from all the medication she has to take.
Thursday after work I got off at 7pm and went to the gym for an hour, I forced myself since I didn't go all last week and I was suppose to be doing this June up Tune up thing. After the gym I met up with the rest of the girls at Jay Jay's broiler, which is a restaurant up the street. Emily had ordered me some chicken strips before I arrived and once I got there one of the bar tenders came over with a bottle of champagne and said management just bought you ladies a bottle for being the best looking table in the restaurant. Obviously they wanted us to get them some business from the ship to get more people in, working on the ship we get quite a few perks on land :] after Jay Jay's Emily, Brendan and I met up with Alex and Bethany and Eric to go to the crew bowling night at Kauai Bowl. It was a free event with free pizza and games from 9:30pm-1am. Once we got there we met up with Trevor and his friend Roland and played a couple games. It was so much fun, I'm not the greatest at bowling but we all had a good time. I was goofing off and dancing with Emily and Alex was like I didn't know you could dance! haha I said you call that dancing??!. I was really glad we all went, bowling is always fun if you can get a good group together.
Friday I woke up at 9:25 and was suppose to be in the Spa at 9:45am! I jumped up and got ready so quick, and ran up to the spa. It was a busy day as always. When we sailed by the Napali coast line there was a beautiful rainbow that went into the coast line across the sky, I ran up to deck 13 to take a picture real quick before my next client came. That coastline is my favorite thing about my job, as you can see in the picture... its gorgeous!! I can't wait for my parents to see it!
I'm currently texting with My bestie Mikallea and Stephaine, can't wait to see them when I get home!!
Just 27 days left!! and only 7 days till my parents get to cruise! this is so exciting!!
