We drove further east of Albany today starting with Emu Point just out of town, where we wanted to eat a picnic breakfast by the beach. Not so easy as the entire beach front and reserve is dog free, so in the end we had to leave Cadbury in the car and eat a quick breakfast before heading to Little Beach at Two Peoples Bay Conservation Reserve. We had heard that this beach is the most stunning in all of WA, so of course we had to see for ourselves. Again, this was not dog friendly, and in fact there were poison signs up, so Cadbury missed out again. Little Beach did not disappoint. It is a small cove with stunning green blue water, rocky outcrops, glaringly white sand and a hilly backdrop. It was absolutely breathtaking. We took it in turns to explore the beach, not wanting to leave Cadbury on his own.
On the drive back we also stopped at Nanarup, where the river runs right out to sea. This was also a very picturesque stop and here Cadbury could run around and enjoy some beach play.
We got back to our campsite late afternoon in time to settle down by the river and watch the Pelicans gliding by and sitting up to preen themselves. We enjoyed watching the changing colours of the surrounding shrubs on the water.
We chatted to people camping nearby for a bit, including their very outgoing four year old son, and headed back to the caravan to make a BBQ dinner and then we settled inside to watch s movie.
Night night xx
