Hi everyone!!!! I want to start off by saying that I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry that I haven't been able to update my blog since the night before I left for Uganda. When I said we would have limited internet access I had no idea exactly how limited it would actually be. Unfortunately I don't have much time tonight to update and tell you about everything that I've encountered so far, because we are currently hooked up to the generator because the power has been out for two days now and the other girls also need to get online to check their emails and update their blogs. I will tell you though that I am having a really great time here and I am so thankful that I was given this opportunity. The first week or so was pretty tough because I was really homesick, but now after being here for over two weeks I have adjusted to life in Kyarusozi and I love it!! Teaching in the school is.... interesting. Things are very different from the United States, but I know that I am learning a lot from this experience. The children in our neighborhood are also incredible. They are so much fun and we play with them every day after we get back from school. We've done a little bit of traveling so far, but this coming weekend is our first big travel weekend and we will be going to Queen Elizabeth National Park to go on a safari. I promise I will fill all of you in on more later, but for now I have to go.
