Call me Chief!
Monday was a really fun day because I had Villain REP for the Fantillusion parade that starts tonight! It's the lights parade that happens at night. The morning was spent learning to push a machine that's basically lights on a pallet trolley thing. There are 3 black lights that I push while the Parade is moving forward, and then for the Show Stop I park it and set up the lights so that they shine on me while I perform the Show Stop. The costume is all black with a cape that has snakes (for Jafar), Waves (for Ursula) or flames (for Maleficent) on it in UV fabric so that they show up under the lighting). Then in the afternoon, I learned the routine. After we learned it, we put the capes on and they're SO heavy and we performed the Show Stop once and it made my arms really tired I don't know how I'm going to do the parade! I've got one coming up in a few weeks so it will be interesting!
I had Tuesday and Wednesday off which felt very odd after only working one day since my last day off so I did some well needed cleaning and laundry! I got paid on Wednesday too which was good.
On Thursday I was Geppetto in Fantasyland and then did Green Army on DOUD. While I was Geppetto, a group of blokes wanted a photo with me, and one of them picked me up! I couldn't believe it! Afterwards I just looked at my ACC (with my head on) in bewilderment and she return the confusion! It took us both by surprise but we couldn't think quick enough to do anything about it. I just sort of waggled my feet in the air and flailed my arms a bit! Friday I was Tigger in Fantasyland and did Green Army in DOUD. On Saturday I had an appointment with the Disney Doctor and am now inapt from Goofy so I won't be doing that character anymore. My back has been hurting more recently so I'm a bit worried but now I'm not Goofy hopefully it should make things easier and I'll contact the Hospital a few weeks before I come back in January so I can have my follow up with my Orthopaedic Surgeon. After my appointment (which was at 10 when my shift started at 10!!) I was Tweedle Dum in Fantasyland which was good fun. It was the first time I've played around more than signed and it was nice to not be stood still for the whole set leaning over to see the smaller children. After that, guess what I did on DOUD? That's right! I was Green Army! Surprise surprise! :P The novelty has definitely worn off, but it's still good fun. It's surprising how many kids like the soldiers and want to shake our hands and wave to us.
I've had the day off today and have been enjoying the time to myself. I haven't been feeling well the last few days so I took the opportunity to rest and have a lie in. I'm also starting to do more classes so I can get my fitness back up again. Hopefully as my fitness increases my back will hurt less because my core muscles will be stronger. So there are 2 benefits to doing the classes.
I'm on a 10-6 SPP tomorrow so who knows what I'll be doing! I'm then working a late CAF shift so will have another lie in on Tuesday.
I would like to wish Sarah a belated Happy Birthday for Saturday! (I sent you an email but I'm not sure if you got it!) And I hope you had a lovely day.
Will update you again on Sunday!
