With Flying Colours!

Today I had my approval for character sets as The Sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood. We started work later at 9:30 so I got a small lie-in! We were all in costuming getting our bits and pieces to prepare for either the morning or the afternoon. Those who were being approved in the morning had to get changed there and then and we left the Simba building by 10:15. The first group performed their two sets each in Adventureland where there's pirate etc and lots of Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean music played. Alaina was in the first group so I took some photos of her so she can see what she looks like and adjust her acting to more for the character. After the first set we went backstage and had a break, then they went out for another set. Everyone came out of both sets looking exhausted and like they wanted to go home!! :P

Then we went on lunch and because it was the 10 Anniversary of Cast Memberland, we all got a free meal which was nice. As I queued to get my lunch I got chatting to two guys, Benjamin and Ashley who are also member of the Character and Parade department at Disney, but I'm not sure what they do most of the time. They let me sit with them as I was in the canteen without my formation. I got chatting and Benjamin has been there almost 3 years! I don't think there's any WAY I'd stay out there that long. I miss you all so much.

So, after lunch I got in to my Sheriff costume ready for the set in fanasyland. It was quite difficult because even though he's a character, he's supposed to have a bit of a mean streak and I don't like being too mean so I for told off for that. :s The Sheriff was surprisingly popular, especially with Tigger and Eeyore no far away.

Everyone passed the approval and I got the highest score in the theory test too :D I'm a bit of a spod but I dont mind LD

I'm going to have to go to bed because my eyes are closing on their own and I can barely stay awake. I'll update you tomorrow.
