Wow! Today was a very hot day!

We met our trainer Véronique in our training at 9:10 after clocking in at 9 and getting changed into our kit. First we had two visitors from the "face character department" to look at us and decide whether we can be a face character (like the Evil Queen!) and I will find out Friday whether I have a fitting on Monday, which is when I will find out what character they want me to be. After that, a morning of theory. This included how to pose with guests, how to interact, gifts we are allowed to accept and not accept (e.g. drawings, disney products and photos of our character are acceptable, unopened envelopes, items with monetary value and non-disney photos are not), and other things.

Afterwards, we learned how to prepare our shoes as part of our costume. As Tigger, I have trainers with velcro around the bottom with I attach "coquilles" or "Couverts de Chausseures" to. We then had to put on gloves and try to sign our character signature a few times, and then again with the gloves AND head on! It was very difficult as Véronique wouldn't let us lean on anything so that we get good practice. My hand-writing and signature was very wobbly so I hope it turns out okay.

After lunch we got back in to costume and did a short "discovery" (where our eyes, ears, mouth, nose, tongue etc. are on our character) and set lasting 20 minutes together to get into practice for how long the sets are. Afterwards we had a short break only to get back into costume again for a set practice where we had to catch a ball to get us to move our head and also a charades exercise so we use our imagination.

After our shift, the Once Upon A Dream parade went out to the park and people from my formation and I watched from just inside the backstage area at the floats going out. After that, Alaina and I went on Space Mountain and then a walk back through the park to the exit. We caught the train from Chessy to the Val d'Europe so we could get a few things like more bread, moisturiser and bin bags.

When we got home we settled down to our laptops to check what we had received and what had happened over the course of the day. Alaina ate peanut butter on toast for dinner so I made myself pasta with pan-fried mushrooms, pasta sauce and cheese. It was yummy!

I spoke to mum and dad last night which was really nice. They like reading my blog so I'm happy and it feels like it's worthwhile. I'm feeling a little bit homesick but it's only when I get back to the flat and in the mornings. Hopefully when I've got proper shifts then I won't have time to and will be keeping myself busy with dance classes etc. I haven't heard back about having Sarah's wedding day off and I'm really anxious about it, if I don't get to go I'll be devastated! And also upset for mum after having to make 3 corsets for me!!! I also spoke to my friend Cesca this evening (from Our House) and it was really nice to have another friendly face who cares :)

Well, I'm just about to wash up and then I'll be off to bed. I'm so tired after being so animated all day that I definitely need my rest. So I'll be you a
