Yesterday, Alaina and I had a lovely lie-in (til about 10) and then got dressed and made our way to the park.
We went in backstage and used one of the backstage entrances into the park to get in because we can't use our Cast member ID's to get in :( And we spent the day walking around the park checking out the various restaurant deals and prices and also just really LOOKING at the park. Because it was a Saturday the park was so full and we had no hope of going on any of the rides, but we can always do that on a day off during the week.
We started on Main Street and went into all the shops to look at the souvenirs (BEWARE: There were some great xmas present ideas... Sorry family you might all get Disney stuff!) and then wandered through Frontierland and Adventureland, making our way to Fantasyland where we met a really nice English family waiting at a Theatre but the show was cancelled. They were disappointed and their daughters hadn't seen any Princesses so we told them about the Princess Meet and Greet that happened just outside It's a Small World at 1:15. They were really appreciative for the help and it felt really nice to be able to do that for them, especially the little girls.
After that we wandered around near Alice's Labyrinth through to It's a Small World and had a "Tea Time" which is a hot drink and brioche doughnut thing with Nutella stuff in the middle. By the time we finished it was about 1:15 and the Princesses were doing the meet and greet! We didn't see the English family, but Alaina and I really hoped they got to see them. We went into another of the big restaurant/fast food places and they have a stage and lots of seating (I think it's where we saw Mulan last time we went as a family). There was a projection screen and they were playing the shorts they have before the movies like "The Ghostlight" before Cars and "Boundin'" etc. They also had the Mickey Mouse shorts so Alaina and I watched that for a while. One of the modern shorts about a magician and his rabbit which I think is before Ratatouille had us in stitches and the only other person laughing as much as us was a 5 year old boy! It was really fun to "revisit" our childhood and be immature! :P
When we got back to Main Street we went backstage again and went into the second park, the Walt Disney Studios. I never realised it was so big! There was the main street that had film posters and small areas dedicated to certain Disney films, the Hollywood Tower Hotel which is the ride Tower of Terror (it's like Detonator at Thorpe Park) and meet and greets with Baloo the bear and Buzz Lightyear. We wandered through to Toy Story land where there were a few rides like another drop ride designed like the Green Soldiers and a Slinky Dog ride for the little kids.
As we walked through we saw that the stunt show was just about to start, so we got in the queue and just managed to get some seats at the back. It was AMAZING!! The drivers were so good and the stunts were great. Like driving backwards at speed over a jump (The car was actually in drive but the body of the car was on backwards!) and some motorbike stunts. A member of the audience got picked to drive a remote controlled car, and it turned out it was a trick and it had a driver sat outside the car with the seat and pedals etc. the final stunt was a chase and gunfight scene and the Baddie "fell" off his bike and slid through fire. It was really exciting to watch! After that, it was about 4:45 and Disney's Once Upon a Dream Parade starts at 5 so we ran all through the Studios Park to Main Street (using backstage) to watch it. Even though I'm 18 and Alaina is 28, we were getting more excited than some of the children!
After that, we got the train to the Val d'Europe to do some shopping. Because I might be a face character, I get shown my make-up once and then have to do it myself using my own brushes for hygiene so we went into Claire's and I found a set of 6 for 5 euros.
After shopping we went back to our flat and had a quiet night in uploading our photos and chatting. I'm really glad I get on with Alaina so well because it's made it alot easier to settle in here. And also having skype on my computer has made it better, being able to video chat to Mum and Dad and George is really nice and comforting.
Well, it's Sunday and Alaina and I plan on being lazy and doing our weekly washing! Although the laundry room here doesn't give change, so we might have to go to the local shop to get some change!
Update you later!

P.S I also found out my shifts for the week of Sarah's wedding I've thankfully got it off. It's such a relief to finally know if I can make it or not, it was such a weight on my shoulders, now I just have to arrange getting back. Phew!
