Just call me Goofy!

So this week has been full of firsts and that tall awkward character we all know and love! On Monday I worked a 10:00-18:00 SPP shift and did Goofy in Park 2 in the morning and Green Army in the afternoon. The head I have to wear for Goofy is really heavy and hurts my neck, so when I found out I was him I asked the woman in Character 1 if I could book a doctor's appointment with Jean-Jacques and she said yes, but hadn't done it when I checked in the afternoon. The reason I want an appointment is because the Doc said that if there's a character that's too heavy for me, or hurts me, then I can go to him and he will fill out a form that writes the character off for me. It's been such a hassle to get the appointment and when I checked that afternoon I spoke to a different person who told me to go up to the secretary Rachida who told me to talk to a Team Leader who then took me into his office to ask what the problem was. It was so stressful especially after the woman in Character 1 had been so horrible to me in the morning that I almost started to cry! The team leader sent the Doc an email and said he'd tell me when I have an appointment but he hasn't come back to me yet. I think I have one on the 30th/31st anyway but I don't want to have to wait that long if the character is putting me in even more pain than I am already!

Tuesday was the first time I'd ever done an All Star Express (ASE) shift. And I was originally supposed to be playing Goofy (again!) but luckily, the Halloween costume he wears is different than normal one and doesn't fit me, so I got changed to Pumpkin Man instead which was a lot of fun! I got to be very mischievous and funny which was good. And the costume was really light, especially the head, so I could be really free with my body.

On Wednesday and Friday I work late Café Mickey shifts as Geppetto. The shift is 15:15-23:15 so we finish late but at least it gave me a lie in. The Café gets quite busy and the open up the upstairs so there's lots of people to see! There were lots of birthdays on Wednesday and they play special music and the characters follow to cake and dance around the birthday person's table and then have a big photo. It's quite fun and I do lots of old man dancing as Geppetto (and sometimes he even does the robot!). The bad thing about doing such a late shift is that the bus back to Pleiades isn't until 23:50 so there's lots of waiting around afterwards.

I worked my first (again!) Lucky Nugget (LUC) shift on Thursday as guess who?!?! That's right, GOOFY! This put me in a really bad mood already and after my first set, I realised that my head was broken on the inside so it was sitting even more uncomfortably! My shift was made better by the fact that my ACC was really good. She's French and speaks OK English, but after lunch, we go and do two sets in Adventureland and it was quite quiet so she made it really fun by playing silly games to pass the time.

I've got the day off today and the weather is miserable and freezing! It was beautiful about a week and a half ago, but it suddenly dropped right down and is so cold! But I ventured out into the cold and walked to the supermarket to do some shopping and caught the bus back. I'm now sat in my very warm apartment with absolutely no intention of going outside until I have to work tomorrow! :P
