So my heart is out of this walk now. Some petty criminal has created a dark cloud that has left me wondering of it was all worth it. Part of me wants to
find the perpetrator with my boots but I think it would be better if I just found them without the individual. God knows what I would do but I don't want to end this trip in a Spanish nick.
So after discovering the boots had been taken we had to hang around in Portomarin for the police station to open and the caretaker of the albergue to arrive. Once open the police were reasonably helpful but the Xunta Portomarin was as disgraceful as their premises were dirty. This place should be condemned.
I walked 26km today from Portomarin to Palas de Rei barely noticing the scenery. My eyes were trained on peoples feet and my mind filled with thoughts of vengeance. Who would have thought that I would walk 400km on a religious pilgrimage and only find hateful thoughts.

Patxi haven´t seen a place where you could buy a new pair?? I think your thieve has gone the opposite way!!
Yanik, Carlos, Manuela, Emilia & Nico Nick, don't let this get you down! These are the forces of evil trying to undo all the sacrifices you have made - including the 47 km walk on your own - this is a test and you need to get past it - and I know you can do it. This will make you stronger in the end, so get rid of those hateful thoughts and focus on the positive, all the blessings you have, your beautiful children and family, and how proud everyone is of this amazing journey you both are taking! We love you and are praying for you, every painful step of the way!
PantyAt Nick spray your deodorant on your feet it will create a barrier, might help with any sweaty blisters and rubbing. Keep going your nearly there. We love the detour you took via Ecuador!!!!!! (See your map)

Gibbo Sorry to hear about your boots, Sharp. Shouldn't be too hard to track down the tea leaf; get the local plod to keep an eye out for a Scouser with size ten plates. Not long to go now, mate. Dig deep.
