Slept so well last night! Didn't wake up till half 9 then just laid in bed listening to music till half 10 when I finally got up! Had a shower, tidied my room and booked my Fraser Island so that was all done! Wanted to watch TV but Steph's assistant Glen was working and I didn't know if it would put him off so i chilled in my room and made a summer playlist on Youtube and generally mooched around. Steph had been out and came back at about 1 and me and her popped to the supermarket as we both had some stuff to get. Got back and Glen had gone so I found out how to work the DVD played in the lounge and put on Shelly's Glee dvd! Carried on from where I had left off on the plane, had to rewind it a few times as I kept drifting off! A mix of a really cmfy sofa, me still feeling snuggly from my good nights sleep and Glee being a bit slower then I remembered.... Me and Steph had planned to go for a BBQ that evening but when we were about to go we realized we'd be rushed to get it done before the end of twilight and there were no lights in the park we were going to go to so we decided to have it another day and go earlier, so cooked dinner instead. I had meetballs and spaghetti with Dolmio and garlic bread which was delicious! At 7 we left to go to the magic club, a little group that get together once a month to chat about all things magic and show tricks to each other... Steph described it perfectly so when we walked to a hall like the community center and there were about 20 old people/awkward looking people sat around an old guy who was chattng away I wasn't surprised. Steph said her and Glen always vow to never go again but end up going as its only a small group and they feel they should go to keep it going. There's only four full time magicians that go and the rest are just people interested in magic, the type who will perform for family and friends. Some of the old guys were really sweet but it was a funny bunch! The first half an hour was the boring bit, just the main guy babbling on, not even sure what he was going on about. Steph and Glen were utting me off anyway, lawning and laughing! But once it got to showing the magic I loved it as it was close up magic which is my fave! The first guy was really nervous but really not that bad, I sure wouldnt have been able to do it! The main guy did a few tricks which were ok, pretty gimicky, but then it got to the card tricks which were amazing! The first guy to do some chose me as a volunteer and after that, everybody did!! So that was really cool for me as I got to pick the cards etc, bit of a eleb for the night haha! The tricks were soooo good though and I have no clue how any of them were done. One guy in particular was really really really good, he normally works on a cruise ship doing it so has had good practice! Once eveyone had performed, there was some food and they all just mooched around chatting, but Glen showed me loads of close up tricks which were brilliant, really enjoyed it. At about half 9 we left. Steph and Glen always go for a McDonalds coffee after the magic club so I joined them and we headed to McDonalds but it was shut so we had to go to KFC - their milkshakes have nothing on McDonalds so that was a shame!! But we sat in Glen's car chatting for a while which was nice, before going back to the club and getting in Stephs van and heading home. Got ready for bed and came online to do my blogs and here I am! Fingers crossed for nice weather tommorow as me, Steph and Glen are planning to go for our BBQ at lunch!
