Had a lie in this morning and then a big tidy of my room as I want to keep it really tidy. Found my membership pack for Travellers at Work, a website that specialises in getting backpackers jobs, so went online and activated my membership and completed my résumé on that. Did some job searching on that, but again there's always something that makes the job not right. It's really annoying! Ideally I don't want to do bar work as you need to get a license to serve alcohol and that costs money, and I have done bar work and waitressing at home and would like to do something different. I also don't want to do commission based fundraising as a friend did that in Sydney and ended up working 9-5 for $19, which is about £12! Am most interested in childcare, and a lot seem like I could do them but then they say they want you to have a car or a first aid certificate. A lot of the jobs don't have a lot of information, which makes me a bit sceptical. I sent my CV to a few different places, the only one that jumped out at me was a sales person for Mineral Make Up as it was good pay and good hours, but I am seeing that job advertised on every job site I look on so we shall see. Made myself some lunch the Steph got back from a couple of shows she had done in the morning. I had told her about my pass hat I got for the theme parks on the Gold coast and she said she had never been to any of them, so we decided we would go and were going to go to one of them today! After yesterdays rubbish weather we had planned to do Movie World but the weather was a bit clearer today and Steph wanted to do Wet and Wild so we got our bikini's, jumped in the Super Steph van and headed down the Gold Coast! Took about 45 mins to get to Wet and Wild and as soon as we pulled up it started to drizzle! Contemplated doing Movie World instead but decided we'd be getting wet anyway and it was still warm outside. Spoke to the woman at the ticket desk and it turns out because Steph is a resident of Queensland she can get the unlimited pass for $65 which is about £40, so good as to get into Movie World alone just once cost $57! So Steph was very happy, and my pass was accepted with no problems. As soon as we got in the rain stopped and it didn't rain again all day J It wasn't sunny but it was still warm and the weather meant there were basically no queues on anything! The Aqua Racer was shut which was a shame as I had enjoyed that, so was the Tornado but that was a slight relief as it was so scary! We went straight to the River Rapids, the big Taro-like slides and we both went on the open ones, as they were much better! Was such good fun again! We then went to the lazy river and went round a couple of times before heading to the Wave Rider, a ride which I hadn't been on last time. It's a theme park ride as opposed to a water park ride, it's hard to explain but you're on seats facing out on a roundabout type thing, there are two of these on a giant surfboard which is on a half pipe shaped track and goes up and down. It was soo much better than it looked! It was actually really scary but great fun, we both loved it. We then headed to the "extreme h20 zone" and to the Kamikaze, which we went on twice, it was Steph's favourite but she said she just liked seeing my terrified face! Next, we went on the Black Hole, which was as brilliant as before, still my favourite slide! We did the Sidewinder, which was just as scary as last time and then, the big steep slides. I did the one I hadn't done the time before; still hurt my back but I couldn't believe how fast it was!!! I preferred it to the other one I think. Made our way round to Mammoth Falls where your in the 6 person ring but we went down with just 2 of us, meant it was quite gentle and not as scary. We then went into the wave pool for a bit before getting showered and changed and heading back to the van. Had been a really great day, we'd got everything done and had barely had to queue. Was worth it not being sunny for that as it was still warm! Got home and I decided to try and watch Drop Dead Fred while my hair dried but ended up falling asleep! Not sure how long I was asleep for but when I woke up I just wanted to go to bed. Dried my hair reluctantly, cleaned my teeth and got my PJ's on then got into bed to try and watch it again. It was actually really funny, a bit mad and you could tell it was old, but by the time it finished I was feeling awake! Was too late too cook something proper so I had some cereal and watched an Oprah Glee special with Shelly who is a big Glee fan! Wanted to watch a DVD in bed but none of them would work, something to do with the DVD's being Australian but the Mac being English :-( So I moseyed around on Facebook till I was sleepy enough to go to bed, didn't take too long!
