Had got so used to being woken up by an alarm clock or by people in my hostel, it's been lovely waking up naturally! Am getting up really early though as the sun rises early but am probably getting a lot more sleep as I'm not getting woken in the night. Got up and showered and ready for the day. We were meeting Steph's magician friend Glen(who had performed at the magic and comedy night with Steph and was really good) and going to visit an 18-year-old guy who was getting rid of loads of magic stuff. Steph told me we were leaving at 10 so I had some time to kill and caught Mike on Skype again, yay! So chatted to him for a while, got breakfast then left to head down the Gold Coast. Took about 40 mins to get to the guys house, we were in the Super Steph can and Glen was in his car.The guy had loads of tricks to sell and was the worst salesman ever! Steph would ask how much something was and he's say "erm about $100-$150 maybe but if that's too much just say" and stuff like that! As if you'd go "yep, I can do $150". Then they'd get the price of individual stuff right down and at the end they'd be like "can we have a discount as we're getting a lot" and he was like "sure, ok" haha! I didn't know how much the things were worth but even I could tell this stuff was cheap! I was right, too, when we left Steph and Glen could not believe how cheap they'd got everything, so a very successful trip! Said bye to a happy Glen and made our way to Tambourine mountain where we were planning to go for a walk. First we stopped of in the town of Tambourine, which was just a street but a really sweet one with all one off little gift shops and cafes. Was a lovely place to wander around J We stopped in a really nice café for lunch and then spent ages looking round all the little shops which was really nice. Everywhere we went sold delicious fudge (we tried some free samples) but it was so expensive - wishing I'd got some now though :-p My favourite shop was a little fairy shop, the woman who ran it was really sweet and it was full of cute little fairy themed things. As we were looking around, it started to absolutely chuck it down with rain so we decided to give the walk on the mountain a miss. It was a shame but it would have been no fun it the rain. Instead we headed back to Moorooka, popped in to the supermarket and went back to Steph's house. I brought Shelly some choocie to say thanks for having me stay over, hope she doesn't mind me being her but she seemed happy with the choccie! Spent a bit of time on the computer, got to speak to Mike again! Got into bed to watch Alice in Wonderland on the laptop but it wouldn't work L so put on a film called Drop Dead Fred instead, which Steph and Shelly said I had to watch as it was a classic for them. Knew pretty early on I was too tired to concentrate properly so had to turn the laptop off and I fell straight to sleep!
