Nope that was not the case…..got up in the morning, did all the engine checks, checked the fluids levels, oil etc, but nothing was empty.
I went off and phoned the breakdown people who were first coming out and then as they couldnt get authorisation from the hire company said either we paid $400 for someone to come or wait till Monday.
The nearest town was Mount Molloy where they would come but that was a good 180km away.
But me being me, I decided to drive to Mount Malloy and take the chance, lights were still on, but we made it to Mount Molloy.
But the garage was closed, so I phone the breakdown people again who organised a mechanic to meet me.
Once the mechanic had a look said we were lucky to have made it, as the alternator wasnt charging, so was recommended to stay put.
So we stayed at a rest place and stayed the night there till the morning, was a warmish day so wasn't too bad.
Met an Aussie couple, man! could they talk, the guy thought he knew everything and that we were stupid naive kids….kept testing us on interview questions and then looked impressed with the answers he got….men!! :D
