Got the ferry back from Magnetic island and was dark by the time we got back, so decided to go to McDonalds and used the free wifi there. Glad we went and saw the island in half a day as it wasn't worth spending a whole day there. So we found a rest stop and just stayed the night there, could hear the sea at night was really nice.

Got into Townsville, the first place after Cairns that felt like a city. Felt good to be around normal people and seeing civilisation seemed like it had been a very long time since we had seen people….more like cabin fever probably, two people travelling in a camper. We stayed two nights here, visited the market which reminded me of our markets back home that we use to have as kids, just local people with their stalls. Nice to see these individual stalls and...
