The next day we spent most of the day driving and arrived at Airlie beach just before it got dark.

We stopped for the night in a car park, brought a ticket and then decided to go down to a bar and met a few travellers.

I just remember the minute we arrived the weather was horrible, grey and drizzle rain, just horrible. All night it poured with rain and was just so miserable.

We were going to visit the Whitsundays however the forecast for the next few days did not look good. So decided to leave and head south as the weather was really getting to me, didn't want to spend money on seeing an island when all it was going to do was pour with rain.
