Camper van hired, fully insured and off we went the three of us.

The camper was named Henry as the sales guy told us, so we stuck with the name.

We spent the first day driving up the east coast towards Port Douglas. In between we stopped at a quite a few different beaches.

Yorkey k*** was the first destination followed by Palm Cove then onto Ellis beach and then into Port Douglas itself.
Paddled in the sea but didn't get to close the sea as there are crocodiles about. This is the only place where there is a mangrove right on the beach was is quite rare.

Spent the night here where I ended up burning my arm hairs and the grill decided to come on and it blew out a flame when it ignited, scared the hell out of me but I was okay.

Time for sleep that was funny putting the beds together and I was on the top berth had hardly an room, but was quite comfortable except for when it rained and it hit the metal holes right above my head….wasn't happy.
