Got into Townsville, the first place after Cairns that felt like a city.
Felt good to be around normal people and seeing civilisation seemed like it had been a very long time since we had seen people….more like cabin fever probably, two people travelling in a camper.

We stayed two nights here, visited the market which reminded me of our markets back home that we use to have as kids, just local people with their stalls.
Nice to see these individual stalls and not everything is taken over by Tesco…
Australia reminds me of how the UK used to be back in the 80's and 90s
Shops closing early, not open on a Sunday and is dead in the evenings.

There was a river nearby with a Harbour with really expensive looking boats on it, we found an internet café where we charged all our electrical equipment before setting down for the night.
