Woke this morning to glorious sunny weather and the beach on the door step. It's been three days since our last shower (longest yet) so we packed up and headed into the nearest roadhouse. The shower cubicle was well used (mainly by blokes judging by all the used razors along the window sill) and right next to a huge, cane crop- very rural atmosphere! Continued driving along the dry, barren Bruce hwy for what seemed like a day- but was only three hours.... Finally arrived in Camilla Beach where we had lunch then fell asleep reading in the sun. The camp spot is right on the beach and secluded by big thick, jungle trees and vines (and bush turkeys). In the evening we lit a fire and toasted gooey marshmallows followed by cups of sweet hot Milo. Highlight today: afternoon reading in the sun!

Woke this morning to warm sun shining into the back of the Navarra, had a fantastic sleep and eventually woke at 9am (kids must have worn us out). Picked up our van from Con & Heather, they invited us in for sandwiches and tea which we accepted. Con put a bunch of new screws into some panels on the van for us while we watched the baby Brahman Cows play in the back paddock. Such lovely people- they are now our adopted third parents! Awww so sad.... Everyone is flying home to Victoria today! Packed all our stuff up and went to the airport and waved as everyone boarded the plane and flew away. Before leaving town visited a Myotherapist who was intent on killing me, so painful and i bruised up immediately. Ice cream for breakfast this morning and lazed about in pajamas for a while. After lunch we visited Australia Fair shopping center which is really lovely. It is laid out like a market with lots of alley ways and hidden shops. For our last night together we visited Sizzler. They were so busy that the line went out the door and we waited 40minutes for a table. The cheese bread is still a hit and all you can eat salads was really fresh and tasty. The kids (and ad...
