Packed up camp and drove to Calliope campground about 10kms away.
Large open grassed site alongside a wide river, with plenty of spots for fishing and a camp fire.
Decided to go for a walk prior to having a swim and lucky we did. Came across a crocodile warning sign!
One of the old nomads nearby then told us about a couple of Crocs up on the bank last year. From here on upwards (North) is now Croc territory!
We were (still are) a bit nervous about knowing they are out their, especially at night when you can hear things splashing in the water.
The weather today has been really warm (24 degrees) and we sat in the sun reading and doing some washing.
There are no trees nearby for us to hang a shower so we improvised with some annex poles, springs and some rope. Overall we are pretty proud of our free standing shower (pictured).
Nice warm fire tonight, the evenings are very chilly here and drop down to 10degrees.
Mel's specialty 'Beef koftas and Vegetable Couscous' for dinner tonight.
Highlight today: freestanding shower!
