Tonight we had the pleasure of having a little concert in our common room! Thomas and Sandra's friend came over to visit who is originally from Germany but has been living in Chile for many years and she is also hosting a young woman from Alaska as part of the WOOF program (where you can stay at a farm for free in exchange for work, learning new skills, etc). The friend happened to play the cello and was really good at it. Gabby, the German woman who has been staying with us for a while plays the violin, so they got together in the common room and played us a little concert. I made a small video of it which will be posted in the video section of my blog. Check it out!
Funny story: they also had practiced playing in the town plaza a few days ago (so they could be loud and not disturb anyone indoors) and they had their case open and a random tourist walked by and dropped in a 10,000 peso note... That's $20 USD! Either he really liked the music or wasn't sure the exchange rate..... Haha.
