Today was the last day that one of our German guests, Anna, would be staying with us. She is working here in town with biological tourism, doing evaluations of a program that is just starting up. Tomorrow she is moving to a house that is a bit cheaper and smaller, with a kitchen, so she can save some money since she will be in town for several more months.
So we decided to celebrate with some Piscolas and snacks in the night. We had another cyclist arrive today from England who joined us in the festivities. We spent a good amount of time watching funny videos on YouTube. Anna had never seen the "Gangnam Style" video and they both hadn't seen Rebecca Blacks's song "Friday", which while we dissected the deep intricate nature of the lyrics, we had a good laugh at how ridiculous pop culture can be. We also watched different "worst of" Amerca's Got Talent, Germans Got Talent, and Britain's Got Talent. "Ahkmed The Terrorist" was also enjoyed by all... But best part of the night was being able to all share a little something and then also enjoy the videos that we all, each of us coming from completely different places and times in our lives, have seen.
Quote of the night: "I don't need religion, I have Google".
