I woke up at around 9 after about an hour and half sleep, ate a little breakfast, and went back to sleep. I woke up again at about 12:30, and felt surprisingly refreshed. That day I spent working on various things around the hostel. I had been invited to a traditional Asado that night at Marco's home and was on the fence on going. Then I decided it was my second to last weekend here in Coyhaique and I should take advantage of every opportunity! So I drank some coffee and got ready. Marco and Nacho picked me up and we went to the his house. The traditional Asado is when they have lamb or cow splayed out on crucifix-looking metal cross and they roast the meat over an open fire for many hours. When it is ready you cut however much meat you want off and serve yourself. This Asado was in a house next to their home (I forgot the spanish name of it, but it is used for parties and celebrations and has several tables and a kitchen area). Their home was actually right next to a school which is where their mother works. It was a small gathering but a fun one. The cow meat was tough but delicious. I practiced my spanish again and met one of their friends, Yerko, who was breaking out some hilarious dance moves. It was a fun BBQ and I ended up cabbing back to my hostel around 2:30-3am. I am glad I bucked up and went out! Super fun :)
