We are now in Perth staying with Rich's sister Jill and family. Apart from exploring Perth whilst here we will be sorting out Chinese visas, getting medical checks and injections, applying for school in Macau and doing our tax (which Cath being organised brought from home intending to do on the road anyway). The weather has been cool and a bit rainy and so it is a good opportunity to do these jobs plus one or two others including updating the website and sorting the photos out.
It has been terrific to see the family and the kids have loved playing with their big cousins who are very long suffering. Susan (aged 15) climbing trees in the park and Mandy (aged 23) playing barbies in the midst of final year law exams! and Debbie (21) generally playing and protecting the cat from the attention of our three animal lovers.
It is of course Matthew's birthday whilst we are here (16/11) and the anticipation has been almost overwhelming. We will be ice skating on the day and having a large number of cakes and yummy treats from the way he is planning it. It is of course lovely to spend his birthday with family - he says it means more presents!!
