Eaton Family's Aussie Adventure
Manning Gorge was a beautiful spot where we spent the day and had the huge swimming holes all to ourselves - we had also swum at Galvans Gorge and looked at Adcock Gorge and continued then to Bell Gorge and Windjana Gorge. There are certainl;y a lot of gorges around here, but they are beautiful and the kids don't mind the hot walks so long as there is a swim to be had at the end of it. We couldn't say we are gorged out as they are all different and we have taken our time in the region. those who do a lightning visit and fit several into 3 or 4 days would have that feeling more than us. The most difficult thing of visiting in September has been the large numbers of March flies which do make life a little unpleasant - but we have all got good at killing them as they are rather slow. The good point is the lack of visitors and so we haven't had problems with accommodation or crowds.
