Eaton Family's Aussie Adventure
Windjana Gorge is the premier place in Australia to see fresh water crocodiles in the wild - it is way better than a zoo - we saw about 70 and many were very close - this one in the pic is only 2 metres or so away in the water. Matthew has become very keen on crocodiles and can tell you all there is to know just about. We have been to most crocodile parks and cruises etc and now are pretty expert (in a lay person way). We are still rather scared of them though - salties anyway. Windjana crocodiles aside is also very pretty as a gorge and is an ancient reef system dated at 360 million years old. The devonian reef runs from here through Tunnel Creek to Geiki Gorge at Fitzroy crossing - all of which we saw and there are photos here to look at.
