Hi everyone!! So it is my last weekend in Melbourne, cannot believe that the time has gone so fast.
Nothing really planned for this weekend as I have done lots in the week and really need to get my arse into gear and start packing. I am sending a suticase home on weds so need to sort out everything.
As I said I have had a busy week. In terms of work I have been auditing a fitness business which is different but good as I love sport so I have an added interest.
Apart from that I met up with Em from my Grampians tour on wed night for a bite to eat. We ate down in a lane near my work called Hagdens lane. We chose an Italian and it was warm enough to eat outside which was lovely especially as there were some musicans playing. The lane had a real European feel and it did feel like I was on holiday.
On thursday I took a day off work to go to Philip Island and see the little penguins returning from the ocean to theri burrows on shore. The weather as tyical Melbourne is was awful and cold even though the day before had been hot and sunny.
On the way to Philip Island we stopped off at the Warrock farm and also at the Koala Conservation Centre which were both interesting
I am so glad that I chose to go on thursday as my previous plan was to go at the weekend, but I found out that the superbike GP was on and the island was already starting to get busy with all the bikers heading to the island for the race.
The weather did not spoil the day however and the Little Penguins did not disapoint!!
Then on friday I went out for drinks at the Apartment with a few of the girls from work whcih we randomly decided to do at 5pm. I then left them at 7.30pm to meet my gym buddies for a goodbye meal. Again it was Italian but we went down to the Docklands area. I had not really explored the Docklands that much so it was a good excuse too.
