So it was my first day of work in the audit division today at HLB Mann Judd.

It was a really nice day and I felt really welcome. I started with a student who was going to work in the business recovery section of the firm for her sandwich year at uni.

We spent the first part of the morning going through all the IT and HR procedures.

We were then shown round our floors. The company occupies level 1, 2 and 9 of the building. Level 9 is the audit floor.

I felt right at home as there are 2 English workers here in the audit department. A guy called Michael who is originally from Luton!!!!! Fantastic my arch enemy coming from Watford!!!! However he is a Spurs fan so will please Scotty. He ended up at HLB Mann Judd as he was on a RTW trip and met his fiance in Oz and stayed ever since.

There is also a girl from Vantis London St John Street called Kim, who has been on secondment for a year and a half.

Michael and Kim along with another guy called Vanesh took me out for lunch which was really nice!!!

In the afternoon I had a chat with one of the managers, Jude, who told me some background to the firm and then it was a case of going through the various forms I needed to fill in for HR.

I found out that the first friday in the month is casual dress day. This is also cakes day as the firm buys cakes to celebrate everyone's birthday in the upcoming month. There is also friday night drinks on this first friday of the month.

So all in all a good first day!!!!
