Hey everyone,

Its been pretty much a non event this week. I mean stuffs happened but Im sure by the end of this entry you'll all be ready for a small nap...thats if your still awake by that time lol. Anyway whats happened? We started the week again by applying for jobs left, right and centre. But what we didnt realise then was it was best actually ringing the companies because they didnt seem to respond to any of our emails. So thats easily a few days wasted this week! Oh well, at least we had a chance to catch those rays once again. And the fact that the Crickets still on over here, it means we can laze about in front of the TV watching England embarrass themselves over and over again! I mean...all we're asking for is one performance. A whole summer and STILL no victories against the Aussies. It just makes you cringe at times...but we're English and damn proud of it so we'll follow the boys through the highs and the many many lows. Anyway back on the job front, I've lined up three interviews for tomorrow and Tuesday. So hopefully (please!) someone will hire me. The first one is for a Paintball company, I mean I love Paintball so it could be a match made in heaven! The second little cheeky interview is working in a warehouse somewhere. Oh joy...the life of a backpacker lol. But at the end of the day moneys money! And then I've sorted out another little meeting with a second recruitment agency on the Tuesday. As some of you (the family) may know too, I even applied for an ad asking for volunteers to take part in a medical research study! The moneys really good, and all you have to do is take a (suspect) tablet for a few weeks and pray you dont lose your johnson! I mean there are risks, but $4000 was tempting. But after thinking it through, I've decided not to take part. I think Roomys quite keen, so watch this space. He might come back one day from the hospital with a third eye....or if hes lucky a third breast.

We did venture out on the Monday night too this week, but unfortunately unlike last time there are no stories to be told. I met up with a friend earlier in the night and caught up with the boys later in scubar. This is the place Fie and Emily work so we thought we'd check it out and say hello. Yep, what a shocker! It was literally the size of a shoebox (well maybe not literally) and it was heaving in there, so there was no room unfortunately to grace that dancefloor. It was Australia Day on the Friday too...so the place to be was Sydney! It was just one big party all day, many roads were closed with just thousands of people on the streets. And there were so many Aussie flags about...we were quite tempted to bring out our St Georges flag. But 120,000 versus us 3 are not the best odds lol. We headed down to Darling Harbour for the fireworks display in the evening and to be fair again they were amazing. They do like a good firework display over here! But before the show we had endure watching for a good half an hour footage about how good it is to be an Australian (boring) and how its the greatest country in the world (really?). Im far too patriotic to be watching that but overall it was a really good day. We carried the night on after that and headed into the city but I dont remember too much after that...and no Im not always drunk! 

And this weekend, Ive actually started running again! Ive been twice so far with Roomy and its a pretty decent run. I mean the views you get of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House are amazing. How old do I sound there. Per...jesus. Even on our run tonight there was an event going on down there. Because its the final of the Aussie open, they've got a big screen in front of the steps of the Opera House so it was just full of Swiss and Chile fans (and two English). There was a great atmosphere there, and Im glad we saw it.

So with any luck (again) these interviews will go well and I can start eating some more interesting food. Beans on toast is getting very boring! Although on a few occassions I have added mini sausages to the beans on toast. Oh yes my culinary skills see no end. So I hope your still awake! lol WAKE UP!
