Poor Sandra missed out on the get together today - she had to work from 6pm tonight until 6am in the morning. There was a large wedding (350) today after a small one (90) yesterday at the Principovac where she cleans the rooms, wedding reception area & the restaurant. She also works through the ocassional wedding, cleaning & maintaining the restrooms thorughout the night.

Dragan and John headed off to Vukovar to change the air mattress that Cvita bought for John to sleep on. Last night he had a blow-out & eventually this morning he managed to find the hole that appeared in a seam. Dragan was surprised when he was given a refund without any questions asked, however was disappointed when there were no more mattresses available to replace the one that was returned. So we had to change sleeping arrangements. John & I ended sleeping on the couch in the 'cinema room' & Dragan ended up on the single bed where I had previously slept.

After organising new sleeping arrangements it was time to head to the extended family get together to celebrate John's birthday - any excuse for good food & drink.

Dragan (Darija's husband) made a meat paprikaš using pork, yearling beef & freshly killed bambi. He made a hot version for us & it was superb, very tasty with the perfect amount of heat in it. Apart from this there were grilled meats & sausages as well as plenty of salads.

We had a great night and enjoyed the company of all the family & friends at the gathering. It was good to catch up with everyone when they were relaxed & not tired from working.
