After breakfast we headed off to Vukovar with Darija (Cvita's daughter) & Dragan (husband) & their 3 boys.

A bit of shopping was the theme of today - kid's books for school, runners & clothes as gifts for the 2 cousins celebrating their birthday. Thank goodness for Darija, she knew the kids sizes & their taste in clothing.

After returning John headed off with the 2 Dragans to Bačka Palanka in Serbia for a bite to eat, a few drinks & some supplies for Saturday's party.

I on the other hand helped with food and had the pleasure of building a birthday cake for Cvita's grand-daughter. This cake is made up of layers of crispy biscuits with a crunch chocolate centre. Each layer was bound together with a chocolate filling and then the whole cake was coated in pink vanilla then sprinkled with hot pink tiny crunchy hearts. Off to the fridge it went.

Satisfied with our cake building we headed off for another good night's sleep.
