All of the classes have their final performance on Thursday night so we all had our first rehearsal this afternoon to give the kids a taste of what it will be like to perform on stage and to have a large audience. It went well.We still need quite a bit of practice since we just started today, but they did great! We are singing a song about the colors, how are you, where do you live, and He's got the whole world in His hands! After the rehearsal, by request by my kids from last week after reading the Narnia popup book, we watched the first half of the Chronicles of Narnia. After school Melissa came with me and my student Grace and her mom to another village to shop and sight see. This village has been around for over 600 years! It was neat! Some people lived there and then they had many cool shops. We walked around for about two hours and then we met Grace's dad at the restaurant the night before.I enjoyed it very much. They ordered about 10 dishes just like Jack's parents had and not one dish was the same.It was a delicious meal and not a bit spicy!Grace is such a precious girl and her parents are so kind and generous. They are originally from China, but have lived in America for the past 9 years. They have only been in Beijing for 6 weeks so there English is very good.As I played with Grace, Melissa was able to talk and share with Grace's parents, which I was very thankful for!It has been awesome to not only share with the kids, but their parents as well!
