Today we read a simplified version of the Good Samaritan since we are emphasizing love and caring in our class especially during Valentine's week. I am keep 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 on the board all week and the kids and I read it together. It was really sweet to read what my kids have been writing in their journals. We have been doing a lot of journaling on love and many of the kids have been writing lines from 1 Corinthians and God is love. If they don't learn any English from me, but that they know that God loves them is enough for me. After school Tuesdays are our free days so all the girls did our workout video and we ate dinner with two of our T.A.s. They had many questions and we got to share with them a lot after dinner, which was neat. God has been so faithful providing opportunities to share with our T.A.s. They are hungering to know God! As they come to us with more questions, God gives us the words to speak by leading us through His precious Word. Our group has been specifically praying boldly for more opportunities to share and for salvation. Many of the T.A.s have grown up with the thought process that they were born good and not sinners. My T.A. has asked me several times if she believes in God and is good if she can still enter heaven. God has lead me to many passages to help explain, such as verses in Romans and John. Please be praying for wisdom and understanding for Nicola as she continues to see the Lord. She has shared a lot with me and she really has started opening up to me. She has wrote me notes telling me God loves me and that I am loved. I just pray she knows how much the Lord our God loves her. I think her understanding is coming around. She knows the illustration Kimber drew last Wednesday at bible study that the only way to come to God the father is through His Son Jesus Christ. She drew God and man separated and then drew a cross to connect them to show that man can go through Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for us, to get to God. I know that can be a hard concept to grasp, especially when you are raised all your life believing another concept, but God gives us wisdom and discernment through His Word. It has been exciting to see my T.A. eagerly reading the bible and hearing her talk about how logical God's Word is, it is the truth, and how powerful He is. Nicola came up to me today and asked what we were going to be talking about in bible study tomorrow so she could study ahead. It has been a joy to watch her seek the Lord.
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
