Today was very relaxing.I thank God for resting on the seventh day so we could have days of rest too.We went back to the 21st century church this morning!I love that church, especially because it is international! It really is so neat to worship with so many different cultures! He is the God of all the nations! We had communion which was wonderful not only because it is so purposeful to remember the sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ, but also it helped our focus for this upcoming week since we are teaching on Easter. An economist was the guest speaker.I loved hearing him speak not only because I am finance major and we think very similar, but he was so passionate about the Lord it was inspiring! He was so real.He spoke on the creation (Genesis 1) and how we should have the attitude of Christ (Matthew 5-the Beatitudes). He challenged us to read Matthew 5, 6, and 7 every day for 30 days and see how it changes our perspective. He made me think a lot on how miraculously we are made (Psalm 8 & Psalm 139).The first ten words of the bible says, "In the beginning He created the heavens and the earth."Those ten words denies any other view (polytheism, materialism, atheism,…) on how creation came water and just the right amount of land. How miraculous is the gift of life?!God's creation and miracles are all around and we see them every day whether we realize it or not. After church we went ate a quick lunch and went back to the hotel and I just got caught up on my blog finally and got things ready for the upcoming week.It was nice.We are teaching the kids about Easter so I'm excited about that! They have asked what happened to baby Jesus so now we can share with them more in depth about what He has done for us and the story of His resurrection!
"If we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection."
