We started the day off talking about unity in the body of Christ in our devotional.Unity sums up our team. The way we come together and have bonded is hands down the bond of the Holy Spirit inside of us.I seriously have not been around so many young adults seeking the Lord so intently and desiring to do His will.It has been a joy to witness my team grow in their faith and to be able to share the joy of the Lord with each other has been a privilege!
In class we continued going over Easter, but we went a little more in depth talking about the resurrection and the stone being moved from the tomb by one of the angels of the Lord.Tomorrow I am planning on reading the Easter story.I have been trying to introduce the background and what it's all about these past two days.I saw some lost looks today so I'm praying God will give them clarity and understanding while listening to the story; and also questions arise whether it is through them or their parents.I am so fired up for these last two weeks we have to go all out.Yesterday as my teammate talked about the urgency of salvation. We don't know when our last day on earth will be or when Jesus will return. We have no promise for tomorrow, but praise God we have the promise of eternal life with Him!As I think about if today was my last day on earth, did I live it purposefully in the will of God?I want to have used my time on earth not for my glory, but for His glory!
I got to share with Nicola today at lunch and it was awesome! The Lord gives me so much joy it's unexplainable and I know she sees Him in me.It really has been neat to watch her seek the Lord and seeking answers through His word.I want to share my testimony with her tomorrow and also my teammates about the urgency of salvation.I pray that God will bless our time together and she will recognize how loved she is.She asks me a lot if she is "good" than can she still go to heaven.God has been faithful providing the words and verses for me to share with her, but it definitely is a hard concept to grasp. It is just exciting that she wants to know more!
Tonight we had our prayer meeting with our team again. It has been such a joy to join together as a unity in the body of Christ. It has been neat because the T.A.s have asked us how long our team has known each other and when we tell them we didn't know each other before the trip they are shocked. They say we act as if we were best friends and it looks we have known each other for years. We then are able to explain to them that we are so close because we are bonded by the Holy Spirit and we are family of brothers and sisters in Christ.I love seeing their reactions and they are so intrigued that our God can bring us so close to one another by His Holy Spirit. The time we have had to spend with them truly has been amazing!
"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 5:1-2
