I had to share an awesome praise with you that happened tonight! We are going to have a bible study every Wednesday night with our T.A.s and so we went out to dinner with them and then we went over to our leader's apartment. There was a little over 20 of us there (9 T.A.s).We sang four worship songs and then our leader Kimber went through Romans 5 and a few other passages in the New Testament. After she closed in prayer we all starting talking with our T.A.s and it was so awesome I can't even explain! We have been praying for this all week and even before this trip.God is providing so much more than we could ever have imagined, like He always does! The Holy Spirit was working through all of us and we were able to go through and share the Word with them.God lead us to so many different passages it was so amazing! After talking with my roommate and her sharing her experience it was awesome to see how God was speaking the same things through us but through different passages and different examples.God is so good and this is what we are here for!I just ask that you will be praying for their hearts that God will prepare their hearts and minds to be susceptible to what God is revealing to them.I gave my T.A. a New Testament bible I brought and she said she was going to go home tonight and begin reading in Matthew. She said she was excited to share her feelings with me as I had shared mine with her.God is providing so many amazing opportunities to share and because He is so faithful He will continue to.This week we have been sharing about Christmas with our kids and I read the kids version of Jesus' birth today. At the end of the story it said not just any baby was born, but the Son of God, the One who was sent to save the world and one of my kids, Williams, raised his hands and asked "what do you mean save the world?" and one of my other kids, Woody, raised his hand and told Williams and the whole class that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.He is a six year old!I had my class write or draw pictures of what they learned from the story of Jesus' birth. My kids drew pictures of a cross and baby Jesus and wrote God and Jesus above their pictures. We had talked about it and I had written it on the board earlier, but it was awesome to see that and hear that from them! With what happened today with my kids, God lead me to talk about Child-like faith with Nicola, my T.A. and I honestly can't even tell you all that we talked about tonight because it wasn't me.It was the Holy Spirit speaking through me.What an amazing night!God is so good! And the T.A.'s are so excited about our bible study on Wednesday nights and to learn more!I can't wait to see what God is going to do through them! They are already so generous and giving! When I was sick on Sunday they bought me a dress, a bracelet, 2 bouquets of flowers, and brought me sushi--so sweet! They want to buy us stuff constantly and with the generous hearts they already have, just imagine if they had the Holy Spirit working in them!!Nicola told me she would probably have a lot of questions for me in the morning so please be praying for that opportunity to share with her that God will open her mind and heart to understanding His love and grace! He is so big that I can't even comprehend how big He is or how much He loves us, but the Holy Spirit can! What an amazing night!I am about to go to bed, but I had to share my joy before I did!Nothing gives me greater joy, truly, than sharing about the love of Christ!
God is doing great things here and greater things are still to be done!
"But God demonstrates His love in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
