We woke up this morning to go to the Great Wall, but unfortunately our teammate had been at the hospital the night before for kidney stones so we were concerned about Him and postponed our trip until tomorrow. He has his procedure on Monday, but he said he was feeling a lot better since he slept all day and had pain killers. He is planning on climbing the Great Wall tomorrow so it sounds like he is doing much better, praise God! Some of the T.A.s took us shopping all day at a place called the Zoo so by the time our trip is over I will have gone to two zoos since we are going to the real zoo in two weekends. The stores really were like zoos! It was so much stuff packed into such small areas. The T.A.s taught us how to bargain. They told us usually what their first asking price is; you should be able to get for 1/10 of that asking price. I love bargain shopping in the U.S., but it is very different here and actually even better here because you can get almost anything for unbelievably cheap prices if you know how to bargain. I enjoyed it! It was a great chance to get to know some of the other T.A.s better! We all had a great time, lots of laughter! We came back not too late around 8:30 since we are getting up at 5 a.m. to go to the great wall! I'm so excited! My goal is to climb to the top!
"Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy, Then it was said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them." The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."
Psalm 126:2-3
